Hi.
I have a Toshiba Portege laptop ( intel core i5, 8gb RAM, 255 SDD) about iii-4years sometime. Recently i find the laptop running very irksome .. infact sometimes lags .. this is peculiarly subsequently the windows updates … Further Yahoo does non work properly on this … cannot really utilise Yahoo mails etc as it is very very tiresome.
The It guy has besides formatted the laptop once.. but even then no departure.
Can anyone delight help .. to diagnose what's the problem and what could be the solution.

Install CrystalDiskInfo and await at the test results for your SSD. See if you can find Toshiba diagnostic software for your laptop and run that. There is no need to reinstall Windows again if the It guy actually deleted everything and reinstalled Windows. Run task manager as an administrator, click on More Details (if yous don't come across much) and the performance tab,. Select the different choices on the left (CPU, memory, ect) and come across if anything looks peculiar. I doubt that volition help, but it's worth a shot. Practice this while you are running some of the boring operations you experience.

How filled is your bulldoze? Yous said even after a clean Windows setup in that location was no change so it's not Windows updates unless information technology was running fine before that.
What is slow exactly? Is it tedious online, slow to open programs, tedious to load Windows? Demand some details.
The base specs are fine to run Windows and normal use programs without bug. If yous accept problems with Yahoo services, did you check your internet connexion speed? You said something about an "The It guy" then if they worked on this did you check why it may exist irksome with them since they had the organization in their hands to test?

What exercise you mean by "formatted the laptop"? My own solution to the issue of my PC getting ho-hum is to reinstall Windows. I do this every couple of years of so. It generally makes a significant difference. Information technology's a pain equally you need to backup all your information and make certain you lot have the ways to reinstall all your software. In very rare cases, a hardware trouble can pb to slow performance,

The Bulldoze is half empty .. not very loaded.
Slow means - Slow online, slow to open programs, very irksome to run yahoo - open/read, etch, reply mails, boring to use any programs ...
Yes I as well checked cyberspace speed (2-3 locations) which is good .. as other systems with less config are working great on the same cyberspace ..
The Information technology guy did reload the windows, cleaned the difficult bulldoze past formatting the bulldoze and reloading the programs.

Windows updates is also on and regular updates taken ..
do you suggest to reinstall windows in one case once more ..?
